Steve Lyus has researched into Liverpool Botanic Collection and gives talks to remind Liverpool of what they once have and what is still left. There is a connection with our Palm House as some of the collection is housed here.

Steve Lyus is a committee member of the RHS Rhododendron, Camellia and Magnolia Group, and a Camellia Show Judge. He retired in 2009 from a lifetime working in the software industry, and moved to the Wirral to create a garden for the many ericaceous plants he had propagated over the previous years. In his spare time he volunteers at Ness Botanic Gardens, helping the botanist manage the gardens and collections there.

Tickets 7.50. Refreshments available. Booking is essential by calling the Palm House on 0151 726 9304.
