Enjoy the beauty of our natural birdlife. Big Garden Birdwatch helps the RSPB to build a picture of garden wildlife across the UK. Armed with this information, they can identify what is in danger – and how we can all help.

Come along to the RSPB day at the Palm House to find out about how to take part in the Big Garden Birdwatch survey, why it’s important and learn about giving nature a home in your garden or green space. There are little things you can do can give wildlife a safe place to feed, breed and thrive. Experts from the RSPB will be here to share their knowledge and set up a variety of feeders to attract the birds. There will be lots of birds and activities for a fabulous day of family fun. Bring along a winter hamper to enjoy with us in the grounds, plus a story or perhaps a favourite poem or piece of literature about our winged friends. Granby and Dingle Children’s Centre will be at the Palm House to share some favourite stories and create some beautiful craft with our littlest twitchers.

Please note essential maintenance work will be carried out inside the Palm House in January and there this event will take place in the Palm House gardens, with no access to inside. The nearest public toilets are near the café in the park.
